Time for Acheron to emerge from the depthsBig news for Acheron this week, so listen closely! Acheron is our 12% Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout. We are releasing a very limited amount of two Acheron variants on draft this week - a vanilla version and a coconut version. Tomorrow, Dec 31st, is Acheron Eve at the brewery from 12-8pm. That’s where you’ll be able to get the first taste of both versions, as well as the OG. All three will be on draft here in the taproom. Lastly, we will have the Coconut version available in cans to-go from the taproom. Those cans will NOT be distributed outside of the taproom, so this is the only place to get it. For to-go, we will have one can for $5 or 4packs for $20. There is a one case limit per person for all beer. Again, all that happens tomorrow from 12-8pm. Whew. Hope you can make it. Cheers to Acheron! #2020 #acheroneve #coconut #vanilla #whiskey #barrelaged #imperialstout ... See MoreSee Less

Have you ever tried a gluten-free beer? Which one? And what did you think of it?🌾Gluten & Beer🌾
Have you ever had a gluten free beer? What about gluten reduced? What’s the difference? If you are a true celiac, you have to know the difference.
Gluten free beer is made with grains that do not contain gluten like millet, rice, sorghum or corn. These beers are regulated by the FDA to test under 20 ppm of gluten.
Gluten REDUCED beers are regular beers made with the traditional barley or wheat grain bills. the brewer will add an enzyme that will break down some of the gluten during fermentation. Sometimes this isn’t reliable depending on many factors including dosing, temperature and appropriate mixing. These beers are rarely ever tested or regulated which can make things dangerous to a beer drinker with celiacs.
If you are the unfortunate person who does have this disease I encourage you to seek out brands that are Gluten FREE. One of my favorites is Holidaily Brewing Company out of Golden, CO. They do a fantastic job of making true gluten free beers using novelty grains - they even took home some hardware for this hazy IPA at the last GABF. In my humble opinion gluten reduced beers can be potentially dangerous to people with true gluten sensitivities. We should do away with the label “gluten reduced” to avoid confusion and potential damage unless these products are tested and proven to be under certain levels.
What do you think about the gluten debate?

New collab dropping this week from Celestial Beerworks and Southern Beer Girl!☁️🏔☁️Mount Olympus is our way of combining the interests of two breweries. You know that we love some Greek mythology over here at Celestial, and @jaggedmountaincb is very interested in hiking and climbing and all about those Colorado Fourteeners and peaks.

We arranged a “cross-country” collab with Alyssa, @southernbeergirl , the head brewer at Jagged Mountain. First, we decided on all of the intricacies of the recipes together. Then she brewed a single IPA there in Denver, and then days later, flew out here and brewed the Double IPA version here.

Mount Olympus was brewed with Sabro and Strata. It’s an 8% IIPA that is reminiscent of an island drink. The Strata loads it up with tropical mango flavors, and the Sabro gives the beer a bold coconut-y taste. It drinks much less than 8% and will be a beautiful way to celebrate the repeal of the 18th amendment.

You can celebrate Repeal Day with us tomorrow with trivia at 7pm, can and tap releases of this beer (and one other old favorite!), prohibition tacos from @kitchen.zus , and rePEEL 🍊🥂 cocktails- an oj/beer/champagne concoction that we are whipping out for the occasion!

Dress like you are straight out of the 1930s, and your first drink is on us! 🎩👠👛👗
