Community thanks friends and supporters after Great American Beer Festival 2013 gold medal win

In the wake of their gold medal win at this year’s Great American Beer Festival for Public Ale in the ESB category, Community Beer Company sent out an email to announce their win and thank their supporters.

It’s a well-deserved victory for one of Dallas’ growing breweries, and this kind of nationwide recognition should not be dismissed without the proper amount of celebration. Community’s was one of just 10 medals awarded to the state of Texas.

So congrats again to Community.

Community Public Ale GABF Gold 2013

The full text of their email to supporters is below.

Dear friends and supporters:

We are honored to have been awarded the Gold medal for our Public Ale in the ESB category at this year’s Great American Beer Festival.

GABF is the largest single-site beer competition in the world. And this year’s was the largest-ever with over 4,800 beer entries from 745 breweries judged by an international panel of 201 experts. We are extremely humbled to have one of our beers selected as best in its class, particularly after only 9 months in operation.

We’d like to take this moment to share the good news. But more importantly, we’d also like to thank everyone who has made this possible. This starts with our incredible team at Community Beer Company who work hard to bring quality craft beer to your glass.

We are also grateful to our volunteers, friends, family, and most of all .. those who support local craft beer in North Texas and throughout the state!

Drink Local!
