Enjoy Super Bowl XLVIII with Seattle and Denver craft beer picks

Brady White at The Beer Diaries made some bold picks for this year’s Super Bowl — craft beers you might like to explore from our two Super Bowl competitors’ home states, Colorado and Washington.

There’s a wealth to pick from, but Brady identified a few beers each from Great Divide, New Belgium, Left Hand, and Avery for Colorado and Elysian, Pike, Fremont, and Fish Brewing from Washington.

But Brady’s not alone in identifying a great opportunity to talk craft beer to the masses. The Associated Press’ Michael Felberbaum also jumped on a chance to talk about the Seattle and Denver craft beer scene.

Michael, like Brady, mentions Elysian, Pike, and Fremont for Washington and Great Divide, New Belgium, Left Hand, and Avery for Colorado. But Michael also chose to mention Redhook Ale Brewery and their Audible Ale as well as Oskar Blues Brewery and Deviant Dale’s IPA.

The AP story also notes the craft beers available near the Super Bowl itself in New Jersey, including Flying Fish Brewing Co., New Jersey
Beer Co., and New York staples Brooklyn Brewery and Sixpoint Brewery.

So no matter how you choose to spend your game day this Sunday, there’s no reason not to do it with a craft beer, no matter which team you are rooting for or whether you choose to go to New York for the big game or stay home.
