With the new beer laws passing last week, Jester King Craft Brewery, advocates for revised beer laws in Texas, announced that they have filed for a brewpub license in order to be able to sell bottles for on-site consumption and to go.
While this bit of news comes from a little south of the Big D, we felt it was worth covering because of how it might impact the craft beer scene throughout Texas. Brewpubs could certainly gain in popularity among small volume brewers now that it’s become legal for them to sell their beer on-site in Texas and cut out the distributors.
