Today is Repeal Day, the anniversary of the ratification of the 21st Amendment and repeal of the 18th Amendment, also known as the Prohibition one. Prohibition ended the in 1933, making this the 80th anniversary. That’s so special it’s deserving of proper celebration.
Looks like Jester King won’t be the only brewery turning brewpub in light of the new laws passing in the state of Texas. I think this makes it a trend, people.
With the new beer laws passing last week, Jester King Craft Brewery, advocates for revised beer laws in Texas, announced that they have filed for a brewpub license in order to be able to sell bottles for on-site consumption and to go.
Looks like beer laws are a’changin’ in Texas, which is always a good thing. While there will still be those beer laws that don’t make sense (like it being illegal for breweries to sell beer from their brewery for off-site consumption), this new set of laws getting passed is a step in the right direction.
