Watch The Grateful Dead Movie with new American Beauty Dogfish Head brew

The very cool folks at Alamo Drafthouse have been working with the creative brewers at Dogfish Head to release a brew inspired by the Grateful Dead for the première of The Grateful Dead Movie. After 1,500 submissions from Deadheads and beer lovers, that beer is ready for the spotlight.

Those who attend the screening on October 22 will be the first members of the public to try this new beer, American Beauty.

Granola in taste, this Imperial American Pale should pair nicely with a movie full of live performances from Grateful Dead’s five-night set at the Winterland Ballroom in 1974.

Here’s a quick video with Dogfish brewer and founder Sam Calagione on how American Beauty came together.
